Brand new exercise class focusing on strengthening the back

Basically Backs for seniors

Ku-ring-gai Council is encouraging seniors to stay active and look after their backs at its brand new Basically Backs exercise classes at Gordon Uniting Church, running every Thursday from July 24  until September 18.

The gentle exercise classes are perfect for less active seniors looking to improve overall health and wellbeing. Basically Backs aims to address age changes in muscles and joints and the associated movement implications, with a particular focus on strength, backs and balance.

Classes will be run by a qualified physiotherapist who has been conducting classes in the local community for over 40 years.

It’s not too late to book yourself a spot in the class – booking forms can be obtained by calling 9420 0000, visiting www.kmc.nsw.gov.au/seniors or in person at Ku-ring-gai Council, 818 Pacific Highway Gordon.
