Celebrate living in this great country in true Aussie style with exciting entertainment, kids activities and food at Council’s free Australia Day event at Hornsby Park 11am-3pm.
The main act; The Crackup Sisters, will have the audience in stitches as they deliver a hilarious mix of comedy, whip-cracking and acrobatics while telling stories of the Australian country and its larrikin characters.
They will be joined by Diramu Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo, the Hornsby Berowra Ukulele Group and the Jim Jam Music Studio Hornsby.
Kids, along with the young at heart, will have plenty of interactive activities to enjoy on the day with a native Australian animal display, face painting and boomerang painting workshops.
The Lions Club of Hornsby Inc. will serve up a tasty BBQ for a gold coin donation, with proceeds going to local charities Hornsby Connect and The Bedford Community Café.
Other food options include a Mediterranean stall serving vegetarian delights and delicious home-made sweets from the Country Women’s Association.
