Enjoy the beautiful Lisgar Gardens in all its glory at the annual Camellia Gala Day.

Organised by Friends of Lisgar Gardens and Hornsby Shire Council, the free event will allow visitors to walk through these stunning public gardens and learn about the venue’s fascinating history.

Gardening enthusiasts will enjoy seeing the many different types of camellias in bloom, while Dr Stephen Utick from the International Camellia Society will be on hand to provide advice about the flower.

There will also be stalls from a range of local community groups including the Hornsby Conservation Society, Easy Care Gardening, Hornsby Meals on Wheels, Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai Women’s Shelter and more.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on the day by Friends of Lisgar Gardens, with donations welcome.

Limited parking is available on Lisgar Road, with additional parking on William Street.

In the event of rain, the Gala Day will be cancelled.
