新年快乐 – Happy New Year

Chinese New Year was celebrated today and on the North Shore that meant Chatswood came alive with dancing dragons bringing-in The Year of the Goat. To all our Chinese friends “Gong Xi Fa Cai” or “Gong Hey Fat Choy”.

The official program was led by Mayor Gail Gile-Gidney with speeches from the Hon. Paul Fletcher, the Hon. Joe Hockey, Gladys Berejiklian as well as a host of local Chinese dignitaries including Mr Jimmy Liu, Chairperson from the Chinese Cultural Centre NSW.

And then the real celebrations began with a traditional Chinese Dragon dance, welcoming in the New Year.
