Wahroonga Rugby Club, which was founded in 1962. From humble beginnings it has grown to be one of the largest junior rugby clubs in Australia with approximately 480 players.
Wahroonga Rugby has 14 teams in the Gordon Minis competition which is for Under 6′s to Under 9′s. The Gordon Minis competition stretches from Hornsby in the North to Hunters Hill and Drummoyne in the west to Norths in the south and to Chatswood, Lindfield and St Ives in the east. There are no competitions in these age groups and the aim is to teach players (both boys and girls) the basics of rugby.
Wahroonga has 16 teams in the Metropolitan North competition which is for Under 10′s to Opens (Under 18′s) and over the years we have won numerous premierships in both the A grade and lower grade competitions. The Metropolitan North competition stretches from Hornsby in the north to Hunters Hill and Drummoyne in the west to Norths and Manly in the south and to Newport, Narrabeen and Collaroy in the east.
Wahroonga Rugby’s home ground is at Cliff Oval, Cliff Avenue, Wahroonga.
