Knox was opened by the Presbyterian Church in 1924 in the tradition of John Knox, the 16th century Scottish reformer, who planned a network of schools in every church parish. Since then Knox has grown to become one of Australia’s leading Uniting Church boys’ schools.
Knox Grammar School is a global school providing positive learning opportunities for approximately 600 Prep boys and 1,500 Senior School students, including 160 boarders.
We are located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. We accept dayboys and boarders from a wide range of backgrounds from around Australia and overseas, offering every boy diverse opportunities to find and develop his talents.
Knox aims for every boy to achieve their maximum academic potential through the highest quality teaching. Students are also encouraged to excel on the sports field, in cultural and other co-curricular activities and to be challenged by spiritual and social justice programs. It is through all these that Knox boys achieve development of personal character.
