Festival on the Green

Huge entertainment program planned

Ku-ring-gai Council’s annual Festival on the Green is once again set to enliven St Ives Village Green with a free day out for the community on Sunday 3 May 2015.

A huge program of entertainment is planned for the day including a performance by the stars of ABC4Kids’ Lah-Lah’s Big Band who will light up the stage with their musical instruments and bright costumes. Empress Stiltdance will also be heading to the Festival all the way from New Zealand, bringing their stunning aerial show Kahuku – A Romance with a Butterfly to mesmerise the audience.

Free activities will keep the kids entertained all day, including the Century 21 Circusworks tent where they will learn how to perform circus acts. Festival goers will enjoy browsing through over 100 stalls on offer, with arts and crafts, gourmet food, community info and more! Along with a range of other health and fitness stalls, YMCA staff from the Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre will be offering free health checks, plus taking bookings for free learn to swim and gymnastics assessments for children as well as offering discounted aquatic and fitness memberships.

There are plenty of prizes to be won on the day thanks to St Ives Shopping Village, who have provided $2,500 worth of shopping vouchers to give away! For your chance to win, head to the information tent to fill out a survey, or kids can compete in a colouring in competition at the Century 21 kid’s tent. Keep an eye on the Ku-ring-gai Council Facebook page for updates on how  to win throughout the day!
