The future of Gordon Golf Course

Extracted from the Kuringai Council website

Ku-ring-gai Council resolved to begin investigations and subsequent planning into possible future uses of the Gordon Golf Course.

Ku-ring-gai Council currently operates and maintains two public golf courses, with a further four private golf courses servicing the Ku-ring-gai golfing community. A substantial investment is currently being made to improve the facilities and amenities at North Turramurra Golf Club

As part of these investigations Ku-ring-gai Council will examine options to accommodate:

  • New sporting facilities, including options for the first indoor sports centre in Ku-ring-gai
  • A range of residential housing
  • Small neighbourhood shops
  • Local park
  • Other community facilities

Possible funds from this project could be reinvested in infrastructure and facilities at Gordon to benefit the wider community and will not be used towards financing Ku-ring-gai Council’s new office space at 828 Pacific Highway or servicing any debt.

The reason for this investigation stems from feedback from the community that they want new and improved community facilities, sporting facilities and housing options to meet their needs now and into the future.

Council will be consulting with residents and the golfing and sporting communities extensively during this time.
