The Hot Potato Band calls themselves “an environmentally friendly roving outfit with interactive properties that have been known to cause a severe case of happy fever”.
And they’re right. Their lively New Orleans sound with horns and drums gets everyone’s foot tapping.
Playing this afternoon at Hornsby shopping mall, they had the kids completely enchanted, adults tapping their feet and some people dancing like no one was watching.
Known for their on street antics, the band has an energy that is infectious. Roving about, they play to people, the play around people and they play for people.
The crowd on the mall had a great Thursday afternoon.
If you get a chance to see these guys playing on a street one day, they come highly recommended!
