Ku-ring-gai’s 2015 Local Environmental Plan will come into effect on 2nd April 2015. It sets out future development of land and the management of environmental, social, economic, heritage and cultural resources within Ku-ring-gai.

Prepared in accordance with the State Government’s Standard Instrument Local Environmental Plan; the planning template consists of a series of maps and written instructions, lot sizes, zoning maps and standards.

With a generous 34 heritage conservation zones in Ku-ring-gai, the new environmental plan aims to improve opportunity for urban housing whilst protecting existing allotments.

Demand in Sydney continues to soar, recording an auction clearance rate of 84.0 per cent last weekend, based on 441 sales at a median price of $1 million. 434 new listings were advertised on Realestate.com.au in the last three months within Ku-ring-gai, with an average of 180 people looking per listing.

Sydney’s median house price is still forecast to grow 8.0 per cent throughout 2015, following the 14.0 per cent growth of 2014.
