If you’re looking to head out on an adventure this weekend, then why not explore your own backyard with Council’s new Discover Hornsby mini-site.

The website, which you can visit at discoverhornsby.sydney, was launched this week by Hornsby Shire Council and features detailed, easy-to-access information about the area’s most popular bushwalks, parks, bike tracks and waterways.

Whether you’re an avid bushwalker who wants to learn more about local tracks, or you simply want to relax by the beautiful Hawkesbury River, you can find all the information you need to help plan your trip online.

“There are so many wonderful locations in Hornsby Shire that are perfect as recreational spots for all different age ranges and we want to encourage locals to explore the hidden gems that their own area has to offer,” Hornsby Shire Mayor Steve Russell said.

Features on the mini-site include maps, travel directions and a listing of the facilities available at each location.
