New playground for Cheltenham

Your feedback on the proposed design requested

Hornsby Shire Council is seeking your feedback on the proposed design for a new children’s playground at Cheltenham’s Lyne Road Reserve.

The playground, which is being built with the support of the NSW Government, is designed to meet the needs of local children while the playground at Cheltenham Oval is unavailable due to construction work on the North West Rail Line.

Council has prepared a concept plan for the playground and is seeking community feedback.

The current proposal will consist of a number of pieces of timber play equipment and natural elements such as plants and rocks.

The playground will be fenced and connected to Lyne Road by a paved pedestrian path.

There will be no trees removed as part of the work and additional trees will planted.

The work will also include seats for carers and ensure that the playground meets current Australian Standards for public safety.
