Hornsby Council wants you to celebrate summer in style with a Pool Party to mark the official opening of Hornsby Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

The Pool Party will be held on Saturday 22 November, with plenty of fun family-friendly activities to enjoy in both the pool and Hornsby Park.

Bookings are required for entry into one of the three party sessions in the pool, while those who don’t manage to get a ticket will still be able to enjoy themselves with attractions in the park.

There are two releases of free tickets for the event, with the first available on the Hornsby Shire Council website on Friday 3 October from 8am.

Activities to be held in the pool include performances from the Olympic synchronised swimming team, an inflatable obstacle course, a dunking machine, Zumba® sessions, a water slide, a pool bombing competition and more.

Outside in Hornsby Park, crowds will be entertained by attractions such as a giant water slide, face painting, rides, henna tattoos and reptile shows.

The activities in the park will be free between 10am and midday, after which they will cost a small fee.

There will also be music and food stalls throughout the day.
